“Based on their observations, officers on scene launched an impaired driving investigation,” Vernon RCMP spokesperson Const. Chris Terleski said. “The driver failed a roadside screening device test and was transported to the Vernon RCMP detachment where she provided additional samples of her breath to police.”
The woman is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
She was released from custody pending a future court appearance.

My favorite DUI story:
Cop pulls over a car full of sailors headed back towards base from the bars late at night. They are playing the LDD (Least Drunk Driver) game. Officer tells the driver “You’re at the limit, I can’t let you drive anymore, but I’m going to cut you a break. Call your comma nd, have someone come pick you up, we tow your car back to the station and you can come get it later. ”
Before the driver can even respond, one of the drunk passengers leans over and goes “Officer, I got a better idea, how about you go f*ck yourself!” T hey were all promptly arrested, driver cited for DUI and all passengers cited for disorderly conduct .
